Protecting the V5 Interactive Tablet is a robust wide-input power supply. The internal power supply has been designed to industry standards of SAE J1113-11. This sub-system provides start-up and shut-down commands to the Operating System upon the driver's key being inserted into the vehicle's ignition. The system can handle voltages all the way down to 5 Volts for surviving engine cranking within the car's electrical system, as well as voltages up to 38 volts, supporting 24 volt bus electrical systems.
