I found the problem and it's Car Specific (and possibly re-re-reading the install instructions).
The Subaru STI and all models with a "In Glass" antenna have a power booster that needs to be supplied 12V Switched (ACC)

Thank you for your continued support. As of right now. the unit is up and running as i expected and paid for. All aspects functioning as advertised.

"Hi,
I have successfully installed the CarPC today without too much hassle.
Found some minor issues, but not something I'm too worried about.

And the Touchscreen worked fine after reinstalling the drivers. Don't know what happened before and after installing it to the truck.
